Immanuel, God is with us!

Ministry Update

Prayer Request

Immanuel, God is with us
¡Feliz Navidad y Año Nuevo de Prosperidad!

We send all of you our deepest gratitude and bundles of love from Cartagena, Colombia.
Thank you for walking His journey with us with a tender heart like a mom, prayers like a solid rock and support filled with love.  Gracias.

2008 was a year filled with many unexpected surprises and has impacted us tremendously. Everything grew in sizes and colors!

Jonathan, Elliot and Drew have grown more than a "foot" and not to mention their hair too and are going through many "mood" swings. Yes, they are in their teens and have been experiencing many "growing pains" over the year.

Meanwhile John has been adding more "silver" color to his hair and Monica's skin color is looking more like a native Latina.

Moreover, our ministry ESUNIC has also grown from four people to nine and need five flags and languages to communicate.

God has been faithful and good.  We have made lots of mistakes and learned step by step in his "school of endurance" in the wilderness. Throughout the year there were many struggles, but  He gave us the strength and courage to move on and carry His light.

We are now anticipating (a bit nervous though) to launch our new Mobile DTS 2009 (more details click here).

Musica, Musica, y Mas Musica
That's what has been on Jonathan's mind lately.
He has been searching, recording, listening and even dancing to his favorite picks.
Jonathan is our DJ for several fiestas and an expert for all genre of music.
But nonetheless, his passion is for books!  His dream is to own a personal library packed with all sorts of books.

El Hombre Grande
Elliot is mistaken by many people as the "oldest" brother from the Hwang boys.
His height, broad shoulder and sophisticated gold-framed glasses are what give away as the oldest.
Elliot has been sleeping a lot and we all wonder if that's the reason for his "big" feet (size 13).
We believe that his "big" feet will go to serve, intercede and share God's love to all the nations in South America.

Drew, el Payazo

Drew is the clown in our family.  His goofiness and jokes are increasing with his notorious, loud and non-stoppable giggles. He has been trying hard to keep up with his brothers' height & strength, but still falls short. He ends up with numerous severe physical pains, ouch!
Once Drew likes a movie he would watch it over 50 times.  For example, he watched "Shrek" and recited the entire movie word for word. Does this mean that there is a possible rising star for Hollywood? Drew drew Drew himself. :)

La Señora Chiquitita
Monica has been getting smaller and smaller. She has to look up to all her Hwang boys.
The advantage of having "grande" Hwangs is that they can all be her bodyguards.  She is always FULLY covered. Monica has been slowly passing her top secret cooking recipes to her boys and is even letting them cook! Oolaaa! Recently she has also been brushing up on French & German along with her usual homeschool and work schedule.

Words that would best describe the changes we've been through 2008 are conflict, crisis and confirmation. We have learned that conflict and crisis can actually bring positive and innovative sides of a person and family.

We, as a pioneering family have been humbled and challenged to be proactive to build and bond relationships better.
And the key that unlocks our heart is when we choose to listen and follow His Words of Life every single day.

L. I. F. E. Continues...
Living In Faith Everyday requires many mistake and practice; there is simply no short cut.

We are truly grateful to you for standing by our side and giving us a little push & lift through your unceasing prayers.
